Gaffer or anyone else

Started by: dougie (5019)

As you know we have a thread thats been running over three years on Places under Downall Geeners 3, sorry but I would like to ask for your help on something we are stuck with

Dougie, Jack Adamson (killed by the bomb and there is a Wigan Observer article in the History Shop) was the son of Wm and Jane Ann and their other son Wm was married to Nellie. It was lovely to see their photograph. My grandad Robert Adamson was uncle to Nellie's William.

Can you do anything with this it's from a new poster to the site ?
The Anne Adamson's family I am trying to trace was born in 1863 and married to Stephen Walsh the MP for Ince who did live in DG until they moved to Swinley Rd. Wigan. His funeral was in DG.

Thank you so much Frances for all your work. I have been on the census and found info on the 1911 but wanted to know if anyone knew of the family now. Arthur was killed in WW1.
I knew there were 2 Anne Adamsons but would love to know if this Anne A was in our branch of the family.I think its the John and Mgt. link.Intriguing!!
You are right Dougie, I don't know DG at all really. I was brought up in Worsley Mesnes in my grandad Bob Adamson's old house in Poolstock Lane. I'm in contact with Nellie and hope to see her soon.
Thank you very much Frances.

No Frances. They said that the History Shop was the place to go. They do have the current electoral rolls there and I presume they can be referred to if I can get over there sometime.

Hello acr47

Can I ask is there a reason that you asked about Stephen Walsh living in Leyland St?

Where in the country do you live acr47
